NOVEMBER 7th ~ NEXT EVENT

Hey gang

We are in the process of organising the next Awakening Event on the 7th November 2009. Same details as October; doors open at 7pm for a 7:30 start, finishing around 9:30pm.

Hopefully you should all have had an email with these details but if you haven't (and you want to recieve the updates) then drop us an email on admin@the-awakening.org.uk and we'll add you to the mailing list.You can also sign up for ur prayer letter using the same email address.

Hey All

Well, the first Awakening Event has happened. We started at 7:30, finished at 9:30 and packed the two hours with worship, testimony and prayer ministry. God was awesome (as ever) and was really meeting people through the prayer times.

The feedback that we have received so far has been hugely encouraging (thank you so much to all those who filled out a response card)... we welcome any comments/suggestions on how we can improve them as these are your events and we have already started taking some suggestions on board for the next one. Was so great to already hear testimonies of what God has started to do in peoples lives. Please feel free to use the comments section of this blog to share testimony/stories of encounters with God during the meeetings or alternatively you can email us admin@the-awakening.org.uk We will not publicise any testimonies that are emailed to us unless given your permission to do so!

The next event is planned for November 7th at Thurstable School, Tiptree. Doors open at 7pm for 7:30 start and are asking and praying for increase; increase of Gods presence, increase of testimony, increase of transformed lives.

WELCOME TO THE AWAKENING

Hi all

With time running short before our first event, here is the vision statement for The Awakening ...

“To mobilise a passionate generation of worshippers, intimate with and equipped by God, to be shapers of nations”

Over the last few years we have felt a burden in our hearts to be part of mobilising a passionate generation of worshippers who are able to stand in the world. The times that we live in can appear to many as oppressive and can often cause fear to rise within us. However, the truth is that we are living in exciting times where God has the victory over the oppressor. Our vision is to see the Kingdom of God expand further with increased healing, miracles and salvation and for a fatherless generation to rise up, take the ground and enter into the promises of God. We believe that we have a responsibility to take up our role and be part of leading an army, to gather young people together from different denominations, different walks of life, to equip them for one purpose ... to worship our Creator in Spirit and in truth and to fulfil the destiny that God has designed for each one.

The Awakening is an event that seeks to engage young people in our region in passionate, sold-out worship of God. We want to awaken our young people to the realisation that God is real, present and POWERFUL! It is He that changes us, enables us and then commissions us with a mandate to revolutionise nations!

In the UK we don’t need revival ... we need reformation and transformation. We need reformation and transformation in every sphere of our society: business, politics, health and social care, education and the media.

Although billed primarily as a youth and young adult event, The Awakening event is open to anyone who is hungry for more of God and is wanting to press deeper into intimacy with Him.
